Professor Frohmann is a senior trade policy and export promotion expert, with experience both as a negotiator and policy maker in the Chilean government and as a consultant to developing countries. She served as Technical Coordinator of Chile’s free-trade negotiations with the US, and Director of ProChile, the international trade promotion network. As a consultant, she has advised several Latin American governments, as well as the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), on issues related to trade policy, export promotion and competitiveness. Presently, she is working on trade and sustainable development, as well as gender-specific trade policies. She teaches at the University of Heidelberg in Santiago and at the University of Chile.
