WEBER, Rolf H.

Professor Weber is the Director of the Center for Information Technology, Society and Law as well as the Director of the Center of Financial Market Regulation at University of Zurich. He has been a practising attorney in Zurich since 1982. He was Visiting Professor at Hong Kong University (2000-2015), the Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Global Internet Governance Academic Network, and a member of the European Dialogue on Internet Governance from 2008 onwards. From 2009 to 2015, he has been a member of the High-Level Panel of Advisers of the Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development. Moreover, he has worked as an expert of UNESCAP on Trade Facilitation and Electronic Single Window Transactions and of the UNESCO on Internet Governance and as an advisor for information technology law of the government of Vietnam. Professor Weber is a member of the Editorial Board of several Swiss and international legal periodicals, and has published a wide range of books on business law in both German and English.
